Protein Energy Bites

Perfect little bite of energy, full of protein. A good healthy alternative to help feed that sweet tooth!! I use it for when I am craving sweets and it is so satisfying but also keeps you on track!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 scoop protein
  • 110 g peanut butter I use a food scale to measure out my PB; this is roughly estimated to just under 1/2 a cup.
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • add all ingredients to a bowl and mix together; I used a rubber spatula to mix and it made it easier to mix and scrape away from sides of the bowl
  • Take 1 tbsp, or 20g worth of the mixture (again, I used a food scale here to make sure that I each bite was the same macronutrients) and roll into a ball
  • Set in a container and store in the fridge to munch on when that sweet tooth kicks in!

Notes

  • you can find the protein I like to bake with and use in my protein recipes HERE; I have tried different proteins over the years and have been on this one for over 2 years now and it has the best flavor and not that chalky protein after taste.
  • Store in fridge for a few days (if they last that long lol)
  • Calories and macronutrients will depend on what brands you use. 
  • Macronutrients per bite I calculated were:  10g carbs / 4g protein / 3g fat
  • I used white chocolate wonderful peanut butter
  • If its still a little crumbly, add a little more honey to the mix until it sticks together well.
